We are looking for an experienced small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join the journey of a growing independent veterinary practice.

Having opened in September 2022, they have amassed a loyal and dedicated client base whilst still growing every week. They are the highest rated veterinary surgery in the area and have recently been awarded the RCVS Accreditation for Small Animal General Practice.

The practice aspires to effect positive change to the veterinary industry for clients and within the veterinary community. They look to provide greater opportunity for growth, ownership and advancement within your veterinary career.

We are looking for a veterinary surgeon to join this young, ambitious and vibrant team who is dedicated to providing the highest level of animal and client care, with a strong focus on continuity of care and clinical excellence.

Many of the clients know the whole team by name and they pride themselves on being an independent, friendly team.

About the practice

Currently the team consists of two veterinary surgeons and three amazing registered veterinary nurses.

The practice looks to provide a high quality veterinary service with a focus on client care. They want to create strong bonds with clients by providing longer 30-minute consult times, opportunities within the community such as working with local businesses and stands at local events.

The practice boasts state-of-the-art digital x-ray, full laparoscopic equipment including vessel sealing technology, ultrasound (including Doppler, cardiac software and echo table), complete multi parameter monitoring system (inc BP, ECG, SpO2, CO2), Orthopaedic equipment (including oscillating saw, drill, TTA kit etc), forced air warmer, In-house lab with haematology, biochemistry and urinalysis, separate kennels and cattery and much more!

They aim to provide as much as possible in-house with a focus on providing opportunities for the team to see cases from start to finish. From routine neutering to the most complex of medical and surgical cases, they work closely with visiting specialists to allow for further development and case continuity.

Opening hours

  • 8am – 7pm Monday to Friday
  • 9am – 1pm on Saturday mornings.

Shift Pattern:

Two week rolling rota with an average 38.5 hour working over the two weeks. Set day off each week.

No on-call as vets-now are the dedicated out-of-hours provider. Practice is closed on bank holidays.
