Locum RVN Croydon- Ongoing

Calling locum nurses near Croydon- we have regular locum weeks available throughout the summer at this small animal practice in Croydon:

• Immediate start
• Various weeks to cover over the summer – could be 2-4 weeks at a time
• Ideally full time but part time considered
• RVN only
• No on call or weekends
• No accommodation available sorry
• Busy practice

This is a busy practice and you’ll be using all your nursing skills… If you want a quiet branch surgery this is not for you! They can take a part of full time nurse. Parking available.

Responsibilities:
– Assist veterinarians in examinations, surgeries, and treatments
– Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures
– Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the vets
– Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery progress
– Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in treatment areas
– Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans

Qualifications:
– Diploma or degree in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification
– Registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS)
– Experience working in a veterinary practice setting
– Strong communication skills with both colleagues and pet owners
– Ability to handle animals with care and compassion
– Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
