This is a locum position starting on the 8th of October 2024 and ending on the 31th of January 2025, with 6 days per week. Experienced Veterinary Surgeon - Procedures Biased
Our client, a well-respected independently owned practice, is looking for an experienced, procedures-biased Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. They seek a surgeon with an interest and previous experience in surgical procedures and ideally some background in sole charge or leadership roles.
Key Responsibilities:
Covering first opinion and referral care, including medical and surgical cases
Advanced diagnostic imaging and rehabilitation
Opportunity to grow and master areas of special interest
Working Hours:
This is a full-time position with:
A 4-day week, with 10-hour shifts (various shift times between 7:30am - 8:00pm), totaling 40 hours
1-hour lunch break
Equal rota for daytime in-patient care and help with emergencies over weekends and bank holidays
2 days off in lieu of any weekends worked
No out-of-hours duties, except as a "last resort" backup to the dedicated emergency team on a rare rota basis
Primarily based at the busy branch clinic in Worthing, with potential shifts at hospitals to expand case exposure if needed

Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon Brighton, 50% Branch + 50% Hospital
The Role:
You will be a key member of the veterinary practice team, comfortable with all aspects of veterinary work, including consulting, surgery, diagnostic imaging (x-rays, ultrasound) and managing most medical cases independently.
The position offered includes work at a branch near Telscombe, which is a 2 vets/3 nurses branch, equipped with theatre, x-ray and ultrasound, where you would provide daily consultation and surgeries, with occasional sole charge. Patients in need of hospitalisation and ongoing care can be transferred to our hospital, situated 5 miles away.
At the hospital the caseload will be varied, with both emergency and advanced medical cases referred to us from our five branch practices and local practices that we support.

Modern and well equipped Small Animal GP RCVS Accredited practice, silver awards in both ISFM and RWAF.
16 40 Hours per week over a flexible 7 day rota, weekends will be in rotation with other Vets. We offer and support a wide variety of shift patterns from compressed hours, late starts, split shifts etc.

The role has a medical focus for someone keen to work primarily in the hospital to cover inpatient shifts and consults. Our client, a long established independent SA veterinary practice near Bishops Cleeve, is looking for a locum vet to fill a 12 month MAT cover role, from November.
About the role:
3 days per week, preference for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday but any 3 week days are fine
