About the Role:

GLG Vets are proud to be working with a fantastic veterinary practice in Cornwall to recruit a Clinical Lead / Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join their dynamic and friendly team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinary surgeon looking to step into a leadership role with no out-of-hours (OOH) or overnight inpatient checks required.

As the Clinical Lead, you will oversee the day-to-day clinical operations, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring the highest standard of care for all patients. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to the strategic development of the practice and build lasting relationships with clients in a welcoming, supportive environment.

Location: Cornwall

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to £72,000 (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the clinical team to deliver exceptional veterinary care
  • Oversee case management and support colleagues in difficult cases
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive working environment
  • Provide high-quality treatment and surgery
  • Engage with clients, offering advice and guidance on treatments and care plans
  • Ensure compliance with practice policies and procedures

About You:

  • Fully qualified Veterinary Surgeon with a proven track record of clinical excellence

  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to animal care
