About the Role:
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established veterinary practice in South London. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role within a growing and supportive team. As the Lead Vet, you will play a key role in shaping the direction of the practice while providing high-quality care to our patients.
Location: South London
Hours: 40 hours per week (4 days)
Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 per year
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of veterinary professionals.
- Oversee the clinical care and treatment plans for a range of animals.
- Perform consultations, diagnostics, and surgeries.
- Ensure excellent communication with clients, addressing their concerns and offering professional advice.
- Collaborate with the Head Nurse and support staff to ensure the smooth running of the practice.
- Contribute to the development and training of the team.
Key Requirements:
- A qualified and experienced Veterinary Surgeon with an active RCVS membership.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire a team.
- Passion for providing high-quality veterinary care.
- Excellent communication skills and client-facing experience.
- Ability to manage your time effectively and work well under pressure.
What We Offer:
- £60,000 - £75,000 per year, based on experience.

About the Practice:
The practice is equipped with two spacious consult rooms, a theatre, and a prep room. We are recruiting for a second vet as part of our exciting expansion. The practice has a bright and welcoming reception area, making it a great place for both staff and clients.
