We are pleased to support a well-established veterinary practice in Derbyshire in their search for an experienced and dedicated Night Veterinary Surgeon. This exciting opportunity offers flexible working with a 7 on, 7 off shift pattern, ensuring a great work-life balance.
Location: Derbyshire
Contract Duration: 24th February 2025 to 30th August 2025
Shifts: 7 on, 7 off
Working Hours: 8:00 PM - 6:30 AM
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emergency and critical care for animals during the night shift.
- Perform diagnostics, surgery, and treatment plans for urgent cases.
- Work closely with the night nurse and any on-call support staff.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Offer professional advice and support to clients in emergency situations.
Skills & Experience Required:
- RCVS registered with a minimum of 2 years' veterinary experience.
- Previous experience in emergency care or night shifts is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
