Salary: £50,000 to £80,000 (commensurate with experience and hours)

Work Schedule: 40 hours over a four-day week and every other Saturday morning; no on-call, no working Sundays, no working bank holidays

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Bournemouth, Dorset. This position offers a competitive salary ranging from £50,000 to £80,000, reflective of experience and work hours. Both full-time and part-time applications are welcome. The full-time schedule comprises a four-day work week plus every other Saturday morning, ensuring a balanced work-life approach with ample time off, including up to six weeks of leave.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and complex surgical procedures and medical treatments with high standards of care.
• Provide excellent patient care and thorough communication with pet owners regarding treatment plans and pet health education.
• Participate in the diagnostic process, including imaging and laboratory work.
• Maintain up-to-date records of patient care and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with a team of veterinary professionals to provide top-notch veterinary service.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with current registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
• Experience in veterinary surgery and medicine, with skills commensurate to the salary expectations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to make decisions confidently and compassionately.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
