Practice Overview:

Join our first opinion small animal practice located in the Wigan and Bolton areas of Lancashire. Our clinic is known for its supportive environment, especially towards early career veterinarians, and boasts excellent facilities equipped with advanced technology including ultrasound, electrosurgery units, tonometry, dental x-ray, and digital x-ray systems. We offer a varied surgical and medical caseload within a team-oriented setting.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to become an integral part of our excellent team. This position is open to both recent graduates with some experience and more seasoned veterinarians. The role offers flexibility in scheduling, with options to work full-time hours across 4, 4.5, or 5 days per week, or on a part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality veterinary care for small animals.
  • Participate in a varied range of surgical and medical procedures.
  • Work weekends on a 7-week rota basis, with compensatory time off.
  • Engage with clients to offer educational advice and support for pet care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine.
  • Registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
