Location: Plymouth, Devon
Salary: Up to £60,000 (dependent on experience)
Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time (Minimum of 30 hours per week, including 1 in 3 Saturdays, but no OOH required)
Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a confident and skilled Veterinary Surgeon for a well-established practice in Plymouth, Devon. This position offers flexible working hours, with the option to join on a full-time or part-time basis, depending on your needs and preferences. The role will ideally cover a minimum of 30 hours per week, with a requirement to work 1 in 3 Saturdays. Best of all, there are no out-of-hours (OOH) duties, offering you a better work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality veterinary care to a wide range of animals
- Provide excellent customer service and clear communication with pet owners
- Take sole charge when necessary and lead consultations
- Perform a range of medical, surgical, and emergency procedures
- Collaborate with a close-knit, supportive team to ensure the best care for patients
- Maintain accurate medical records and follow best practice guidelines
What We Are Looking For:
- A confident Veterinary Surgeon with a broad range of GP skills
- Someone comfortable working independently and in sole charge
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- A team player who is committed to delivering high-quality care
- A passion for working with both animals and people
