Are you an experienced veterinarian looking to advance your clinical career in a senior role with variety?

This position offers the stability and support of permanent employment alongside flexibility and variation, allowing the successful candidate to inspire others, enjoy a diverse caseload, and contribute to clinical excellence across multiple practices. Serving as a mobile area veterinary surgeon, the role involves working within a defined geographical area and being allocated to practices requiring a senior veterinary presence for specific periods.

The role spans a consistent group of practices within the Cornwall area, all within approximately a one-hour drive. This structure enables the successful candidate to build strong relationships with veterinary, nursing, and non-clinical colleagues while promoting best practices across these teams. The rota will be arranged in advance, providing time to plan travel. While occasional out-of-hours work may be required, it will be discussed in advance and is not anticipated as a regular occurrence.

This newly created role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinary surgeon to deliver clinical excellence across a network of practices. Each location varies in size, caseload, and clinical focus, yet all share a commitment to providing outstanding care to pets within their communities.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing the range of medical and surgical cases encountered in general practice. They will also contribute to clinical standards, operational improvements, and the commercial success of the practices they support. Opportunities for involvement in project work, trialling new initiatives, and supporting the wider pet care ecosystem will add further variety to the role.

The position requires a veterinarian who is passionate about clinical excellence and high standards while focusing on people development. They will excel in inspiring teams, driving positive change, and maintaining the highest standards of patient care and clinical practice.
