GLG Vets is delighted to partner with a leading veterinary practice in Hemsworth, West Yorkshire, to recruit a passionate and experienced Veterinary Surgeon. This opportunity offers flexible working hours, with both full-time and part-time options available (minimum 24 hours per week). Weekend shifts will be on a fair rota basis, shared with the rest of the team.
About the Role
You will be joining a well-established and friendly practice, where you can enjoy a healthy work-life balance. You will have the chance to work in a collaborative environment with a full-time Lead Vet and a supportive team that includes 4 Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs), 1 Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA), and 1 Student Veterinary Nurse (SVN).

What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon with solid small animal experience, ideally gained as a general practitioner. You should possess strong interpersonal skills and be comfortable working independently with sole charge when required, but also thrive in a team-oriented environment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Small animal experience as a general practitioner
- Comfortable with sole charge and confident with all aspects of routine surgery and consultation
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a supportive team
