Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - South Wales

About the Practice Our practice is perfectly located within a 2-mile drive of the M4, making it easily commutable, and just 20 minutes from the stunning South Wales coast and close to Cardiff. This location offers the best of both worlds: vibrant city life and beautiful countryside. The practice has recently undergone a complete revamp, providing a spacious and modern environment that includes 4 consult rooms, a kennel and cattery, 2 theatres and a prep theatre, a full in-house lab, an isolation area, a washroom, and a separate office. To enhance our investigative capabilities, we also have regular access to a CT scanner and a range of advanced equipment, including Doppler Ultrasound, ECG, Endoscope, Digital X-ray, and Dental X-ray.
Supportive Team Environment We believe that a great work environment is built on strong support. Our dedicated team includes 2 vets, 4 nurses (2 students and 2 qualified), 10 VCAs, a separate reception team, and a very experienced practice manager. We offer flexible working hours tailored to your needs, whether you prefer short days, long days, full-time, or part-time schedules. We can even accommodate longer lunches for a walk on the beach with your furry friend!

Additionally, we provide a competitive salary of up to £70,000 depending on experience, 28 days annual leave including bank holidays rising to 33 days after 2 years of service (pro rata), paid lunch breaks, generous CPD tailored to your needs, paid memberships (RCVS, BVA, VDS), no out-of-hours or overnight in-patient checks, and a contributory pension scheme.
