We are looking for an experienced and qualified Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to take on a key role within a supportive, friendly, and progressive practice. As the Head RVN, you will lead a team of nurses while providing excellent care to both pets and clients. You will be a key part of the practice's daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of care and supporting the growth of the nursing team.
Location: Lower Morden, Greater London
Position: Full-time (40 hours per week)
Weekend Requirements: 1 in 5 weekends
Bank Holidays: Share of bank holidays
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the nursing team, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of care.
- Provide hands-on veterinary nursing care, including surgery assistance, patient monitoring, and nursing procedures.
- Oversee the training and development of junior nurses, ensuring a supportive environment for growth.
- Assist the veterinary team in delivering exceptional patient care and client service.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with practice protocols and regulations.
- Participate in clinical meetings and provide input into the continuous improvement of practices and procedures.
Candidate Requirements:
- Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with a valid RCVS membership.
- Proven experience in a veterinary nursing role, with a preference for previous leadership experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for providing excellent animal care and a desire to develop the nursing team.
- Ability to manage a busy clinic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
